For event and experiential agencies

Your brand, intact, all the way to the registration page.

Eventengin is the part of your creative team that works inside event platforms. You make the brand. We carry it through to a live site without it degrading, on whatever platform your client already runs.

Platforms we build on
Why us

We know these platforms from the inside.

Six certifications, and 20+ years in the events industry finding out what each platform will and will not let you do. That matters, because a design is only as good as what survives the build.

The problem

The first thing an attendee sees is a form.

Months go into the brand. Then registration opens, and the first real contact anyone has with the event is a page built by whoever could operate the platform. The agency gets judged on the thing that shipped.

  1. Your designer does not know the platform

They hand over a file that assumes anything is possible. Half of it is not, and nobody finds out until the build is underway.

  2. Your platform person is not a designer

They build what the platform makes easy, because that is the tool they were given. It works. It does not look like the brand.

  3. The handover is where it breaks

Every decision made in the gap between those two people is made alone, under time pressure, by whoever is holding it.

  4. The client approves one thing and receives another

Not dramatically. A compromise here, a default there, and the finished site is a cousin of the design they signed off.

  5. Registration is the first impression and the last priority

More people see the registration page than see the stage. It usually gets the least design attention of anything in the project.

  6. The work arrives in bursts

Three briefs in a fortnight, then nothing for six weeks. Hard to hire for, easy to be caught short by.

Build & Platform

Everything that happens after the design is approved.

From one registration site to a whole programme. We work as part of your team, on your client's platform, under your name.

★ Where most of the brand gets lost

The build, done by someone who designed it

The gap between an approved design and a live registration site is where the brand quietly disappears. We close it by doing both halves. The person building the page is the person who drew it, so the compromises get made with the design in mind rather than against it.

  • Registration flows with conditional logic, approvals and payments, built from the design rather than around it
  • Event hub configured and branded to match the site, not approximate it
  • Check-in, badge design and session scanning, set up and tested before anyone travels
  • Integrations and reporting, so the data is as considered as the page
What we handle
  • Event websites and registration
  • Event hub configuration and branding
  • Check-in, badging and scanning
  • CRM and marketing integrations
  • Dashboards and post-event reporting
  • Registration & Websites

The event site and the registration flow, designed around your client's brand and built so the design survives. Conditional logic, approvals, discount codes and payments included.

  • Attendee Hub

Branded event apps and hubs. Agenda, sessions, networking and sponsor visibility, matched to the site rather than approximated, and structured so your client's team can maintain it after handover.

  • OnArrival & Badging

Badge design, check-in configuration, kiosks, session scanning and lead capture. Designed here, set up and tested here, run by your team on the day.

  • Integrations & Automation

Salesforce, Marketo, HubSpot and your client's data stack. Approvals, notifications and follow-ups automated so nothing is chased by hand.

  • Reporting & Analytics

Dashboards and post-event reporting your client can take to their own leadership without rebuilding it from exports first.

  • Onboarding & Training

Set your client's team up to run it themselves afterwards, with documentation written around how they actually work.

How it works

From first call to live site.

Fixed scope, agreed before anything starts. You know the number before you take it to your client.

Talk to us

Twenty minutes, no deck. You tell us what the client needs and what platform they are on. We tell you honestly whether it is a fit.

Scope

Fixed scope and price, agreed before any work starts. No open clock.

Design and build

We design, you approve, we build it. You see everything before your client does.

Launch

It goes live under your relationship. We stay behind the curtain.

Your client, your name

White-label by default. If they ask who built the site, that is your call to make.

Fixed scope

Agreed before we start. You brief us once and we build against it.

Platform agnostic

Cvent is where we are deepest. We build on whatever your client already runs.

One accountable person

You talk to the person doing the work, not an account manager.

Why Eventengin

The part of your team that lives inside the platform.

You keep the client, the brand and the relationship. We do the part that sits between your creative team and the platform, which is usually the part nobody owns.

  • Design and build, same hands

The person who draws it is the person who builds it. No handover, so no compromises made in the dark.

  • 20+ years in the events industry

Experienced, certified event tech professionals, six certifications, and a long memory for what each platform will quietly refuse to do.

  • We move when the deadline does

Event dates do not move. Registration changes and fixes do not wait weeks.

  • Capacity without headcount

Three briefs in a fortnight then nothing for six weeks is a hiring problem. It is not a problem for us.

  • White-label by default

Your brand on everything. We are not introduced to your client unless you want us to be.

  • We tell you when it is not a fit

Including when the honest answer is that you do not need us for this one.

Why us

The alternatives, and the honest trade-off on each.

There are other ways to get this done. Here is where each one actually leaves you.

vs. A freelance designer

Someone who has built this before

A designer who has not worked inside a registration platform will hand you something beautiful that cannot be built as drawn. The compromises then get made by whoever is doing the build, usually at speed.

vs. Your own platform team

Design attention the build usually does not get

Your ops people can build it. That is not the same as designing it. What comes out works and looks like the platform rather than the brand.

vs. Hiring for it

Expertise without the headcount

Someone who can design and build on event platforms is rare, expensive and underused for most of the year. Bring that in when the calendar needs it. Outsourcing vs. hiring a Cvent admin.

Proof

What a build actually involves.

Two shapes this work usually takes.

Full build

A full event site and registration build

Brand translated into a site, registration paths built with the logic the event needs, event hub matched to it, and the whole thing QA'd before launch. Typically four to six weeks from brief to live, depending on how much the client has settled. See registration and website builds.

Design rescue

Design rescue on a build already underway

A site that was built before it was designed, taken back to the brand. Usually the fastest visible improvement available on a programme already running.

  • QA and launch support
  • Handover documentation

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do you work with our clients directly?

Only if you want us to. White-label is the default. Your client sees your brand, your team and your relationship, and we stay behind it.

Can you work on a platform we have not used before?

Usually. Cvent is where we are deepest, and we build on Stova, Whova and Swoogo too. If it is something we have not touched, we will say so rather than learn on your project.

Do we have to use your design, or can you build ours?

Either. Some agencies bring a finished brand and want it carried through. Some want us to make the event's identity from scratch. Both are normal.

What if the client changes their mind halfway?

Events move, and the scope moves with them. We tell you what a change costs before we do it, so you can take that to your client with a number rather than a surprise.

How fast can you start?

Usually within a week. Tell us the launch date on the first call and we will tell you honestly whether it is realistic.

How does pricing work?

Fixed scope, fixed price, agreed before any work starts. Priced per build rather than per hour, so you can quote your client with confidence.

Are you affiliated with Cvent?

No. Eventengin is an independent services provider. We hold Cvent certifications, but Cvent is a trademark of Cvent Inc. and we are not affiliated with it.

What did the client send you?

A brief, a logo, a deck. Send it over and we will tell you what we would do with it. Twenty minutes, and no deck from us.

  • You keep the client, the brand and the relationship
  • We do the design and the build that carries it
  • We say so when it is not a fit
